The cheapest way to move crypto off an exchange.

Buying is only half the trade — at some point the coins move: to your own wallet, to another chain, to another platform. That move has three cost levers most people discover in the wrong order: the venue’s withdrawal fee, the network you choose, and whether a bridge enters the picture. This guide walks through all three, with dated numbers from official fee schedules.

Lever one: the withdrawal fee

The exchange charges the exit toll, and the spread is remarkable: published BTC withdrawal fees on the native chain ranged from 0.00000598 BTC (Bitpanda) to 0.0004 BTC (Crypto.com) at our verification date, 2026-06-10 — more than a factor of 60 between venues for the same move. For ETH on mainnet the published schedule values ranged from 0.0001 ETH (Binance) to 0.005 ETH (Crypto.com) on the same date.

Two venues publish no fixed number at all: Coinbase and Gemini pass through the prevailing network fee and show it before you withdraw. That is a data point, not a gap — our tables print “not published” there instead of an invented number. Full per-venue tables: withdrawal fees.

Lever two: the network choice

The same asset, the same venue — a different network, a very different fee. Two examples from official public fee APIs (verified 2026-07-07): KuCoin published 0.0015 ETH for a withdrawal on Ethereum mainnet, but 0.0002 ETH for the same asset on Arbitrum — 7.5× apart. Bitget published 0.0002 ETH on mainnet against 0.00004 ETH on Arbitrum — 5× apart.

If your destination lives on a supported second network, choosing it at the withdrawal screen can be the single largest saving in the whole move. The caveats belong next to the numbers: minimum withdrawal amounts apply where published (KuCoin listed a 0.003 ETH mainnet minimum; Bitget’s minimum is value-pegged and moves with price), and the receiving side must actually support that network — a wrong network choice can lose the coins.

Lever three: bridge or no bridge

When the exchange does not offer your target chain directly, the route becomes two-legged: withdraw to a chain the venue supports, then bridge. Structurally that means a second fee and gas on top of the withdrawal fee — and a second set of failure modes. A direct withdrawal to the target network, where offered, collapses the move into one published fee.

What is the cheapest way to move Bitcoin from an exchange?

There is no eternal answer — it depends on which venue you are on and what it publishes at that moment. At our verification date (2026-06-10), published BTC withdrawal fees on the native chain ranged from 0.00000598 BTC to 0.0004 BTC across covered venues — more than a factor of 60 — and most venues adjust these fees dynamically. Should I bridge or withdraw to the native chain?

Structurally: if your exchange supports withdrawing the asset directly to your target network, that is a single published fee. Withdrawing to the native chain first and bridging afterwards adds the bridge fee and gas on top. Which route is cheaper depends on the venue, the target chain and current conditions — compare both before moving; we show routes, you execute on the platform of your choice.

How much does it cost to move ETH from Binance?

Binance’s published withdrawal fee for ETH on Ethereum mainnet was 0.0001 ETH at our verification date (2026-06-10, from Binance’s public fee schedule). The fee is dynamic with network congestion — the schedule value on the verification date, not a promise; check the fee shown at withdrawal time.
